Gwenfar's Garden and other musings
Notes on growing ornamentals and edibles, and musings on other matters that interest me.
Lovely! There's a couple of what must be acers near here that are basically peach-coloured right now. Like a weird spot of last autumn leaking through.
(I say "what must be" as I'm terrible with identifying trees, and usually can't tell a maple from a sycamore from an acer….)
Well, they are all the same family, which probably accounts for the confusion.
Often the fresh Spring leaves can look 'autumnal' I find, then they settle down to more muted colours through late Spring & Summer, until autumn hits again with the full on atumnal colour. At least, that's my theory…
Lovely was my thought too!
